Abstract  Based on the dynamic panel data at national and Guangdong provincial levels from 2003 to 2009, this article measures the effect of manufacturing agglomeration to producer service agglomeration. The result is that manufacturing agglomeration strikingly affects producer service agglomeration, both at provincial level and municipal levels. Manufacturing agglomeration is the main factor of producer service agglomeration. Producer service, which is not affected by circular cumulative causation, is different from manufacturing industry. Human capital and information technology and other knowledge intensive elements can improve producer service agglomeration, and vice versa.
