Abstract  Entrepreneurs are not a homogeneous group. As important members of entrepreneurs, serial entrepreneurs are drawing an increasing attention. After a thorough review of the existing researches, in this paper we first define who is a serial entrepreneur. Then we make a comparison between novice and serial entrepreneurs in their general characteristics, cognitive behavior and entrepreneurial performance. Furthermore, we discuss how entrepreneurial experiences and learning influence serial entrepreneurship. At last, future research directions are suggested.
