Abstract Our literature review focuses on ethical leadership, and the origination, definition and uniqueness of this construct have been analyzed. We illustrate the dimension evolution of ethical leadership, and then review the new research developments about the antecedents and outcomes of ethical leadership. We also identify issues and questions to be addressed in the future and discuss their implications for research and practice，offering researchers opportunities for new discoveries.
