Abstract The present article explores the impacts of TMT’s social capital on organizational financial performance from the perspective of TMT social network, borrows
ideas from the complex network community theory and algorithm in the social network analysis. The study selects 145 stateowned listed companies of four industries, uses content analysis
method to study resume of 1079 TMT members. TMT is mapped to the topology structure from the real world network. This paper views TMT as a community in the real world network, measures TMT
social capital from two dimensions of TMT social network stock and contact strength. Regression analysis results showed that: TMT social network stock and contact strength have significant
impacts on business and investment performance, but don’t affect fundraising performance.
