Abstract This paper gives a summary on the fiveyear data of enterprise technology center of Guangdong province. It further studies the factors which affect the proneness of university industry cooperation (UIC) for enterprises by using probit model. The results show that firm size and absorptive capacity are key factors that affect the proneness of UIC for enterprises. The government’s preferential tax policy has a significant positive effect on the proneness of UIC for enterprises and the degree of attention of market and information collection that the enterprise pay has a significant negative effect in the situation that the firms have higher technological innovation.
