Top Management Team Faultlines and Strategic Decisionmaking: An Empirical Research

Abstract   The paper empirically analyzes the relationship between two kinds of top management team faultlines and firm strategic decisionmaking, i.e. the relationship between the two indicators of decisionmaking quality decisionmaking efficiency and the moderating effect of team identification. It found that the personality faultlines are significantly related to decisionmaking quality and efficiency and moderated by team identification. Besides,the demographic faultlines have weak and negative effect on decisionmaking quality and the moderating effect of team identification is insignificant.
