Abstract  Demographic characteristic has long been a focus and main analytic tool to figure the effect of TMT on organization’s strategic behaviors and performances. In our article, we argue that this method overlooks the interaction between the members in TMT and lacks deep insight on TMT. Based on the theory of social capital and social networks, we argue that we should go beyond the demographic characteristics and look inside the interaction process of TMT to make the obscure group process clear.
