Research on Peer Effect of Enterprise Digital Transformation and Influencing Factors |

Abstract Based on the data of China’s A-share manufacturing listed companies of the year from 2008 to 2019, this paper identifies the peer group through analysts’tracking network, and investigates the peer effect and the influencing factors of this social interact in the digital transformation of enterprises by using panel fixed effect model and other methods. The study shows that: there is a significant peer effect in the enterprise’s digital transformation; influenced by both the subjective motivation of imitation learning and realistic conditions, the peer effect of digital transformation is more significant in the enterprises whose resource base and dynamic capacity are in the middle level; network embedding, market competition, and environmental uncertainty strengthen the peer effect of enterprise digital transformation; the peer group effect leads to the upward convergence of digital transformation level.
