Abstract Based on the Emotional Events Theory, this study explores the effects of narcissistic leadership on employee’ hostility toward supervisor through a questionnaire survey of 635 employees. The results show that narcissistic leadership is associated with increased hostility toward supervisor; leader’ cooperative conflict management behavior relates negatively to employee’ hostility, while competitive conflict management behavior relates positively to employee’ hostility; leader’ conflict management behavior mediates the positive relation between narcissistic leadership and employee’ hostility toward supervisor; employee’ power distance moderates the relationship between leader’ conflict management behavior and employee’ hostility.
