Abstract Theming on “Management Theory Innovation in the New Competitive Environment”, the 2016 Annual Conference on Management in China (9th) focused on chinese management practice in new competitive environment, particularly, taking the “One Belt One Road” national strategy into account.. Through the in-depth communications among and between management scholars and industrial practitioners, the conference discussed the topics including exploration of Chinese management practice, indigenous management theory innovation and research reflections, indigenous case study, research perspectives and theoretical observations. Based on the on-spot discussions, reports and papers, we made a review on the main views about the conference.
