Entrepreneurial failure is an important issue, which is more discrete, fragmented and diverse than organizational failure. Recovery and re-emergence from failure is a process involving distinctive learning and yields significant implications. Also, learning from entrepreneurial failure is a complex and dynamic process rather than an isolated event. This study analyzed the essence and uniqueness of entrepreneurial failure by classification and categorization. Further, we discussed styles and processes of learning from high cost event failure in order to analyze the internal mechanism. Finally, theoretical framework and future research direction were put forward.
