Abstract Drawing on a sample of 283 knowledge workers from 106 knowledge work teams, the research results show that:(a)all the four dimensions of transformational leadership: morale modeling, individualized consideration, visionary and charisma are positively related to cooperative team conflict management, only morale modeling and individualized consideration are negatively related to competitive team conflict management; (b) team psychological safety partly mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and team conflict management;(c)the cooperative team conflict management positively and the competitive conflict management negatively affects the team performance.
