Abstract The paper empirically analyzes the relationship between two kinds of top management team faultlines and firm strategic decisionmaking, i.e. the relationship between the two indicators of decisionmaking quality decisionmaking efficiency and the moderating effect of team identification. It found that the personality faultlines are significantly related to decisionmaking quality and efficiency and moderated by team identification. Besides,the demographic faultlines have weak and negative effect on decisionmaking quality and the moderating effect of team identification is insignificant.
