Abstract In this paper, the twosided matching problem between suppliers and demanders in IT service outsourcing is described. To solve the problem, the linguistic assessment information given by IT service suppliers and demanders is firstly transformed into the form of triangular fuzzy number and multicriteria assessment information is aggregated. Then, to maximize the satisfaction degree of suppliers and demanders, a fuzzy multiobjective optimization model for the supply and demand matching is constructed and the fuzzy multiobjective optimization model is converted into a singleobjective liner programming model. By solving the model, the matching results can be obtained. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the feasibility and practicality of the proposed approach.
