Based on the connotation of enterprise growth, the paper analyzes the factors of hitech enterprise growth and its relations, and argues that hitech enterprise growth is composed of technology core competence, enterprise scale and management configuration. Among them, technology core competence is the core content, and enterprise scale and management configuration are its forms. Technology core competence decides the scale and management configuration of hi-tech enterprise. Combined with lifecycle theory, the paper analyzes the different phases and characters of hi-tech enterprise growth, constructs hi-tech enterprise growth pattern, analyzes its realization mode from the dynamic development of knowledge and explores the form and advancement of technology core competence from imitation innovation, cooperation innovation and independent innovation. The paper is expected to advance the growth of hi-tech enterprises in China.
