Abstract The topic of ‘The 2nd symposium on Management in China’ can be divided into three aspects: The first is the introspection on the study of ‘Management in China’; the second is the practice of ‘Management in China’, including the model of Chinese Entrepreneurs' management practice, strategic management practices and other issues; the third is the construction on the theory of ‘Management in China’. Its features are that it has an equal, passionate and confident dialogue on the issue, explores more openingup academic horizon and leads to the related research focus on the Chinese practical management problems. We argue that scholars and experts should do the research in the Chinese practical management problems and take actions, gradually construct loose and free academic environment, use new research methods which facilitates the formulation of creative knowledge, pay enough attention to the academic norms and principles and strengthen the international communication on ‘Management in China’.
