Abstract Nomologybased CmCvAwAs systems theory takes research outcomes in philosophy and psychology and includes some thoughts in the Eastern philosophy, and thereby provide a structured framework to make comparison of Eastern and Western management theories. In CmCvAwAs theoretical framework, we compare some Western management theories, including hierarchy of needs, system development life cycle, quality management wheel, group dynamics, WSR systems approach, Oriental management theory, Hexie management theory, and Hehe Management theory. On the basis of the comparison, we provide implications of Nomologybased CmCvAwAs systems theory in management research and management practice, from which we identify some opportunities and challenges that the Chinese school of management sciences is facing when going toward the world.
