Abstract Through the empirical study on the three key variables of team dynamics in Chinese enterprises' Top Management Team (TMT), which are communication, conflict and decision quality, we find out that the improvement of communication norms is beneficial to the improvement of the quality of decision making, while the increase of emotion conflict results in the degradation of decision quality. In addition, team communication norm can strengthen the increment of cognitive conflict. This paper also points out the relationship among intrateam dynamics. Besides, it provides the direction of measures taken by industry to improve decision quality and the team performance.
