Research Review on the Overseas Working Experience

This research generalizes representative viewpoint of the overseas studies on the connotation and measurement model of work experience and the relationship between experience and performance. The results show that: (i) the connotation of work experience needs to be defined clearly; (ii) the key to future study on the measurement of work experience is the integration model considering various factors; (iii) it needs to pay attention to the effect of mediator in the empirical analysis of the relationship between work experience and performance; (iv) it is not a single factor but contextual and individual factors which influence work experience. It finally puts forward the future research directions and some problems on working experiences which should be highlighted in China.
