Green remanufacture is an environmental and economical sound way to achieve the goals of sustainable development,focusing on value-added recovery,rather than just materials recovery(i.e.recycling).However,this new production differs greatly from the traditional manufacture,such as mass production,lean one and agile one.The differences among them are analyzed from the following aspects: production life cycle,production goal,resources meaning,operation scopes,competition factors,core ideology,foundational theories and production modes.At the same time,some characteristics of planning and controlling of green remanufacturing operation are put forward as following: attainability of "raw material",difficulties of disassembly,uncertainty in timing and route of manufacturing,difficulty of making aggregate planning,and dynamic of production planning and controlling.
