Introduced was International Symposium on Monitor and Evaluation of National Planning and Policies,which was organized by the State Commission of Development and Reform and the World Bank and held on October 25,2006,in Beijing.Basis theories and methodology of the monitor and evaluation of planning and policies on a nation level and the related experiences from the World Bank and United States of America and New Zealand and so forth were reviewed.Described also were the experiments of the monitor and evaluation from China and  a tentative framework for monitoring and evaluating the implement of 11th Five-Year Plan of China, which was proposed at the symposium.
