How to improve the international competitiveness of Chinese enterprises was studied.Chinese enterprise's strategic practices in increasing the international competitive advantages were analyzed by using the concept of the “worldclass enterprise” and relevant international strategy theories. The necessity to develop “worldclass enterprise” in China and the state-specific advantages owned by China and the company-specific advantages that need to develop by the Chinese enterprise for turn itself into a “world-class enterprise” were explained. The basic path and alternative strategies for developing the Chinese “world-class enterprise”were pointed out. To definite the concept of “world-class enterprise” and to describe the related issues not only can help the Chinese enterprise to formulate right strategy to build up the international advantage, and also can make meaningful contribution to the theory of international strategy based on the Chinese circumstance.
