The background of the patents of business method in Chinese bank industry and the theory of patent maps were explored. The status quo of Chinese banking patents, the development of banking business method patents both domestic and overseas, the change of business method patents applicants, and the distributino of the business method patents between domestic banks and the overseas banks were investigated from the perspective of patent management maps. The fields and the IPC distributino of Chinese banking business method patents as well as the business method patents were researched.  The development status quo of Chinese banking business method patents was summed up.
