Along with the reform and opening in China and the development in' economy, the international competitiveness of the Chinese enterprises is elevating increasingly. Therefore, the management and management issues in China have being paid attention to by the academic circles.  Reviewed was 1st symposium on `The study of 'Management in China', which was held in Xi' an March 29～30,2008, including the conception and significance of the studies of “Management in China”, the developmental path of the studies of management in China, the management issues under the contexts of Chinese culture and the methods of building the management schools in China.  The relevant issues were also discussed.
