The indigenousapproach is consistent with, but extends beyond, the repeated calls for contextualizing organization research. However, the challenges of indigenous research are enormous. In particular, I seek to explicate the existing conceptual confusion and flesh out the best methodological design regarding the indigenous research on Chinese management, especially how to integrate the Western theories by applying the Yin-Yang Balance.
