This paper reviews the research tendency, structure, antecedents, psychological process and prevention tactics of counterproductive work behaviors (CWB). It argues that developing a hierarchy of CWB commonly accepted by researchers, intensifying empirical study for prevention of CWB, using experimental and longitudinal study methodologies, focusing on knowledge workers and basing study on Chinese culture context are future directions.
