The researchers put more emphasis on indigenous research in order to rectify the deviations in management research in recent years. First of all, this articl e indicates the concept, research category, accepted knowledge classification of indigenous research. In the next place, the article demonstrates that the scien tific attitude is the guidance, the appropriate methodology is the impulse and t he motivation mechanism is the guarantee of doing indigenous research. The concl usion may provide some insights into the future development of Chinese managemen t research.
