Abstract:Drawing on the resource-based view and the perspective of spatial connectivity, this study employs the fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis method to explore the action paths and intricate causal mechanisms of the multi-factor configuration effect with “local capability-non-local connection”on breaking through resource constraints in rural e-commerce entrepreneurship. The sample for this study comprises 70 typical entrepreneurship and innovation demonstration counties. The study finds that: ①the mechanisms driving a high degree of breakthrough in overcoming resource constraints for rural e-commerce entrepreneurship encompass six configurations. In terms of the spatial environment, these can be categorized into two types: “local and non-local” resource complementarity breakthroughs and collaborative breakthroughs led by non-local resources. With respect to resource value attributes, four dynamic upgrading characteristics emerge: integration of valuable resources, revitalization of valuable resources, transformation of valuable resources into scarce resources, and the conversion of scarce resources into inimitable resources; ②the driving mechanism of non-high resource constraint breakthrough comprises two configurations, which shows the characteristics of “local and non-local”resource “disconnection”, and there is an asymmetric relationship with the driving mechanism of high resource constraint breakthrough degree.
