Exploration on the Structural Dimension of the Craftsmanship Spirit of Service Employees and Development of Measurement Scale

Abstract:Based on quantitative and qualitative research methods, this study conducts exploratory research with grounded theory about the structural dimension of craftsmanship spirit in service context, as well as develops and verifies the measurement scale. Results show that the craftsmanship spirit of the service employee is a multi-dimensional concept with rich meanings, including six dimensions: career commitment, service pursuit, continuous innovation, competency quality, working belief and inheritance care. The measurement scale contains 6 factors and 24 items, and the results of factor analysis indicate that the reliability and validity of the scale are all at an ideal level, which is an effective measurement tool. The results have a positive effect on promoting related studies of craftsmanship spirit, and provide some guidance for enterprise management practice.
