Abstract:From the perspective of social learning theory, an inhibition mechanism model is discussed to reveal the effect of the strength of performance payintensity and the leader-employee moral foundation difference on the influence of ethical leadership on employees’ moral learning, which is supported by an empirical analysis based on 323 questionnaires. The results show that the ethical leadership positively influences the moral behavior of employees through the moral model identification. The performance pay intensity affects the moral foundation difference between leaders and employees. The leader-employee moral foundation difference has a negative moderating effect on the ethical leadership and the moral model identification. The performance pay intensity indirectly and negatively moderates the influence of ethical leadership on the moral model identification through the mediating effect of moral foundation difference.
