Abstract:Psychological capital could predict one’s future success in career and the mentor plays a very important role in employees’ career development. Based on the theory of social interaction, a model of chain mediation about the transmission of psychological capital under the mentor system was constructed. By the analysis of structural equation and the test of mediating effect, it is proved that the mentor’s psychological capital could positively affect the apprentices’ psychological capital through three mediated ways such as knowledge sharing, role model and knowledge sharing-role model of mentor etc. In order to improve the apprentices’ psychological capital and open their heart for success, mentor with high psychological capital must be selected, which shall be regarded as the first and necessary matter. Besides, mentor shall not only impart knowledge to apprentices, but also make efforts to become the role model in the mind of apprentices.
