Abstract:During the 100 years’ history of Corporate Social Responsibility, Pessimism has been always prevalent. Especially since 2006, the debate "whether social responsibility has already dead" has been gradually attracting increasing attention, which casts a shadow on the future development of Corporate Social Responsibility. This paper reviewed the development of Corporate Social Responsibility in the past century, explored the origin of the pessimisms on Corporate Social Responsibility, and analyzed the most popular pessimisms through different dimensions. This paper argued that there are theoretical and logical fallacies of corporate social responsibility pessimisms, and proposed a new logical framework and based on which, this paper gave two solutions to keep away from the Corporate Social Responsibility pessimisms: First, prompt to form consensus in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility; Second, ecologically prompt the development of Corporate Social Responsibility.
