Abstract:Wang Yang Ming’s Philosophy is acknowledged as the mainstream of Confucianism and the foundation of the contemporary Neo-Confucianism, which features internal strength and focus. Yet it has long been neglected in theories of management in China. By reviewing the history of management theories, it is found that all the Western humanistic philosophy’s failure in management lies in its emphasis on the rules and regulations instead of the individuals’ mind. This paper argues that Yang Ming’s philosophy of “Conscience”, “Unity of knowledge and action ”can be applied to resolve this management dilemma, which is also the value of Yang Ming’s Xin-xue in the present development of management philosophy.
