Abstract:Employees’ entrepreneurial learning has become a significant topic in entrepreneurship field. In order to explore the antecedents of employees’ entrepreneurial learning, this study established a conceptual model among goal orientation, entrepreneurial learning and leader-member exchange based on the individual-contextual theory. The research justified the hypotheses using data from questionnaires of 186 employees in 76 new firms. The results show that the employees’ learning and performance-prove goal orientation positively impact entrepreneurial learning,and performance-avoid goal orientation negatively impacts entrepreneurial learning. The results also show that the relationship of entrepreneurial learning with performance-prove goal orientation is negatively moderated, and the relationship of entrepreneurial learning with performance-avoid goal orientation is positively moderated by leader-member exchange.
