Abstract:Technological innovation capacity is the key engine for our country to implement the innovation-driven development strategy. As enterprise’s strategic decision makers, the boards have a significant impact on technological innovation dynamic capability. The sample data used in the empirical research are collected from 154 listed companies of China’s GEM since 2010 to 2013. Based on the perspective of CEO power’s moderating effect, this article empirically investigates the impacts of board cognition characteristics on technological innovation dynamic capability. The regression results show that the boards’ functional backgrounds and education degree are positively related with technological innovation dynamic capability, the boards’ industrial backgrounds is negatively related with technological innovation dynamic capability, the CEO power negatively moderates this relationship.
