Abstract：Based on Goal Theory and theory of Resource-Based View, relationship between entrepreneur’s growth aspiration and networking behavior was explored. Research hypotheses were tested using hierarchical regression analysis method, with Global Entrepreneurship Monitor survey data on 856 entrepreneurs in mainland China from GEM 2011 APS Global Individual Level Data. The results showed that entrepreneur’s growth aspiration impacts formal networking behavior level and informal networking behavior level positively and significantly; these relationships are positively moderated by age of venture. Based on new findings and theoretical model from Wiklund and Shepherd(2003), an extended theoretical model was proposed in discussion section.
