Development and Evolution of Government-University-Industry-Research Cooperation in China: An Analysis on Literatures

Abstract：The literatures，on government-university-industry-research cooperation, were searched and screened, from 1992 to 2013. And the major literatures were arranged in accordance with time. Based on the research work, the number and research topics of the literatures were significantly different. According to the characteristics of each stage, the literatures are classified. It is significant that the number of literatures of each stage was closely related with policy promulgated. By clustering literature contents, the research focuses are found to be different at each stage. Therefore, it is obviously that research on government-university-industry-research cooperation is closely related to various historical periods when policy was promulgated. Considering literatures’ outputs, the research is divided into three different historical stages, and then, an in-depth analysis of the mainstream and law of each stage is put forward in this study.
