Abstract：Based on the perspective of exploitative learning and exploratory learning’s balance and complementarity, the effects of exploitation and exploration on management innovation were analyzed in this study. Using a sample of 330 enterprises in Pearl River Delta, some hypotheses were tested: exploitative learning has a positive linear effect on management innovation; and exploratory learning has a positive curvilinear effect on management innovation; the balance and complementarity of exploratory and exploitative learning both have a positive effect on management innovation.
