Abstract:Through the analysis of the humanistic and instrumental functions of the science, the current situation of the management science is reviewed from the humanistic and instrumental perspectives. Furthermore, the difficulties in management development due to the lack of humanism are discussed. As a result, the method of resolving these problems in management science will be discovered in the unity of the duality of the science, which is the way that leads the management returning to its nature. From the perspectives of the source and the essence of the management, selfmanagement of subject should be regarded as a breakthrough in the fulcrum. Finally, taking Chinese Taoism culture as the core, a building system of selfcultivation is integrated as the approach for grownup and improvement of human disposition through philosophical methodologies on the basis of inheritance of excellent Chinese culture and integration of the wisdom creed of human civilization through the following steps: unification of the subjectivity and objectivity derived from the truthseeking; exploration of the causal relationship through the presentations, selfidentification of causa sui; faith of goodness converted ; flexibility on adaption of the proper ways; concentration on goals selfrooted without the others; being diligent and seeking constant breakthroughs; clearing selfconsciousness and keeping empty stateminded; harmony between the heaven and human. Hopefully, the ways for the sustainable development of management will be established by constructing the circulation system of harmonious management and harmonious society.
