Abstract：Using longitudinal case study, this paper explores the change management thought in different periods and the evolution process of thought based on the XU Yigang’s management practice of Internet transformation from traditional industry. It is found that the entrepreneur mainly adopts planned change management in the traditional industry practice, and continuous change management in the industrial Internet practice. The entrepreneur goes through the process of “conflict- retrospect”, and complete the transformation from planned change management to continuous change. In the practice period of industrial Internet, three important mechanisms for entrepreneurs to grasp the new trend and stimulate organizational vitality and creativity are restraining undertaking, role recession and instant retrospect. From the perspective of process, the research answers the question of how the continuous change management evolved from the planned change management, and constructs the activity mechanism of entrepreneurs in the process of industrial internet practice, which provides enlightenment for entrepreneurs and managers who focus on traditional industries transformation to change their thought and promote Internet practice.
