Abstract:The servitization paradox is one of the important factors affecting the servitization transition of manufacturing enterprises. In order to deeply study the servitization paradox, this paper adopts the systematic literature review method, starting from the concept and manifestation, and then constructs a conceptual model of the cause of the servitization paradox. In addition, the basic ideas and specific strategies for preventing the servitization paradox are given. Moreover, this paper looks forward to some directions that should be focused on in future research. The results show that the inconsistency in the measurement of indicators of the servitization degree and enterprise performance, the classification of service categories, and the selection of research objects, has led to different manifestations of servitization paradox. The cause of the servitization paradox comes down to a variety of influencing factors inside and outside the enterprise. Based on the principle of effective matching of service supply and demand, this paper proposes that the servitization paradox should be avoided bythe adjustment of organizational structure, the promotion of resources and capabilities, and the innovation of service.
