Abstract:To clarify the definition of SSG dimensions and examine the initial model of SSG typology, a mixed design of survey and case study was conducted, in which 39 supervisorsubordinate dyads were investigated. The result shows that the behavior variance on each dimension was quite large, and initial model of SSG typology differentiated in most cases, but failed in some cases. Some revision was made based on the results. The revised model of SSG typology includes 7 types of SSG. Investigator triangulation was used to test the internal validity of the case study. Kendall consistency coefficient and Kappa test both confirm the high consistency between the revised model and the cases. The final SSG construct theory involves the construct definition, the dimension connotations, the dimension dynamic, the typology model, and the type descriptions. Promising areas for future research were identified in the end.
