Abstract：The accelerating flow of information and knowledge in the global value chain provides important mechanisms and channels for Chinese manufacturing industries to achieve advanced knowledge, and technology transfers from developed leading companies help them improve core capabilities. Three kinds of driving mode of the global value chain are classified and knowledge transfer of global value chain is analyzed in this study. It explores different upgrading paths of Chinese manufacturing industries driven by global value chain from the perspective of knowledge transfer. It believes within the different valuechain driving modes, the knowledge transfer that our Chinese domestic manufacturing industries have obtained by embedding in the global value chain, differs accordingly with its technological improvement and upgrading path to some extent.
