Abstract:Integrating inbound open innovation and outbound open innovation into a research framework, this article empirically examines the relationship between inbound open innovation, outbound open innovation and competitive advantage through a sample of 164 enterprises from Pearl River Delta,. Results indicate that inbound open innovation and outbound open innovation have a positively curvilinear relationships on competitive advantage. Furthermore, inbound open innovation and outbound open innovation have a positive interaction on competitive advantage, which suggests the higher outbound open innovation leads to the stronger promotion effect between inbound open innovation and competitive advantage.
