An Analysis on the Influencing Mechanisms of Ethical Leadeship: A Social Exchange Perspective

Through surveying 280 employees in Beijing district and adopting the framework of social exchange, this paper investigates the influencing process of ethical Leadership from a perspective of leadermember dyadic relationship. The major findings show that: (1) ethical leadership positively relates to employees’ work attitudes and work outcomes; (2) LMX partially mediates the relationship between ethical leadership and employees’ work attitudes; and (3) organizational justice plays a positive moderating role between ethical leadership and employees’ work attitudes and organizational citizenship behavior.
