This paper mainly introduces some important applications of input-occupancy-output (IOO) technique founded by Chen Xikang. It focuses on four parts, which are prediction of China’s grain yield, Non-competitive IOO model that captures processing exports, Education-economy IOO model and the IOO model of management for the sustainable development of water resource.
